An initial decision to charge Shots supporters full admission prices for the clubs final League Two fixture of the season away at Lincoln this Saturday have been changed thanks to supporter and club pressure with the Red Imps agreeing to send cheaper advanced sale tickets.
The tickets are expected to be available from the Shots’ Club offices at the EBB Stadium, by noon tomorrow [Wednesday] will be available at the prices being charged to home supporters: £7 for adults and concessions and £3 for juniors.
Tickets will be available until 7pm on Thursday and 9am to 4.30pm on Friday.
Fans purchasing tickets on the day will be charged the full prices of £18 for adults, £13 concessions and £7 juniors.
The decision to charge Shots supporters full price angered a great deal of people on the Shotsweb messageboard and it was discovered that although no rules were being broken by Lincoln, they did not have any plans to reduce prices, even after Aldershot Town General Manager, Richard Petty, initially contacted the club, however after further talks Lincoln City made a compromise whereby they agreed to send some advanced sale tickets prompting Petty to say: "We are delighted that Lincoln have responded to our initial requests regarding this matter.
"I am fully appreciative of their Chief Executive Officer Steve Prescott for being so positive.
"We hope as many Aldershot supporters as possible are able to take up the advance offer."
