The club is working with Rushmoor Borough Council and the Aldershot
Town Centre Management Group to put on a day of festivities and family
activities in Aldershot town centre and at the Recreation Ground.

From 10am in Union Street there will be a chance to meet the players and members of the Junior Shots team to get autographs, photographs and to see the Blue Square Premier Division trophy and the Setanta Shield.

The town centre will be decked with colourful bunting and Aldershot Garrison Radio will be hosting a roadshow with music.

From 12pm, there will be an open top bus tour around the town centre and procession to the Recreation Ground together with a marching band.

After the grand procession through the town centre there will be presentations and celebrations on the pitch at the Recreation Ground.

From 2pm the family activities will begin with food and refreshments available. There will also be a special beer festival at the Black Bull pub with live bands.

Bob Bowden, Chief Executive of Aldershot Town Football Club said: "Returning to the Football league after more than 16 years is a tremendous achievement for the club and we would like everyone to join us to celebrate. It's set to be a fantastic day for all the family - so come and join the party!"

Andrew Lloyd, Chief Executive at Rushmoor Borough Council said: "Aldershot Town Football Club makes a huge contribution to the town, drawing huge crowds week after week. The family day is an opportunity for fans and residents of Aldershot to turn out and show their support and enthusiasm for the shots. The council is very proud of its links with the club and we will be presenting them with a commemorative glass bowl to mark the occasion."
