The Football Foundation is announcing that it is to fund Aldershot Town 's 'Partners' disability program to the value of £193,000 over the next five years. There will be a special cheque presentation at 19:30 Thursday 22 February at Reading Greyhound & Speedway Stadium, Smallmead (off junction 11 of M4).

The 'Partners' program involves developmental work with children and adults with learning and / or physical disabilities and incorporates many different groups and organisations including Mencap, Parity, PAG (Parent Action Group), Rushmoor Mallards, the North East Hants School Sports Partnership, Rushmoor Borough Council and the Army (to name but a few).

Football Foundation funding covers approximately 60% of the overall cost of the five year program. Funded by the Premier League, The FA, Sport England and the Government, the Foundation is dedicated to revitalising the grass roots of the game, constructing modern football facilities, developing football as a force for social cohesion and as a vehicle for education in communities.
