Joyce has left the Glovers after two years and his final game for Russell Slade's Yeovil side was last night in the pre-season victory over Plymouth Argyle at Huish Park.
"I will be spending a week with their physio just to sort everything out and to give her the chance to hand things over," he told Yeovil's official website at www.ytfc.net.
"Like I have said, I have enjoyed my time at Yeovil, but it will be nice to be able to spend each night at home with my family.
"That's the one thing I enjoyed during our time off, especially sitting in the garden watching my wife cut the grass."
But Joyce will soon be helping Yeovil out though in readiness for the Glovers' Carling Cup First Round clash at Championship side Charlton Athletic on August 12.
"I will be helping Yeovil out though, as Aldershot play Charlton on Saturday so I will be sending Russell the DVD of the game," he quipped.
