Logan's Run 2007 Is Nearing!

Last updated : 07 September 2007 By Stray Shots Team

The event comprises of two races. For the more mature athlete there is a 4 mile run whilst for the light hearted runner there is a great opportunity to run as an individual or with your children in the 1000metre Fun Run.

Last year an enthusiastic field of over 250 runners competed in the races raising a record £8000 for the Hospice. The race will be supported by Rushmoor Borough Council and Sanya China Travel.

The race is held in memory of Ian Logan who was a popular athlete from the Aldershot , Farnham and District Athletics Club who died aged 41 in 1997. Last year several of Ian's relatives travelled from all across the country to run.

Hospice Community Fundraiser Julie Thomas, "Through the support of the local community Logan's Run has grown year by year and we hope that it will continue to do so for 2007. We have kept the entry prices the same as last year and advance entry prices are £7 adults and £4 for those entering the Fun Run. The event succeeds through the generosity of the sponsorship and we would actively encourage staff in local businesses to support the event and raise funds through their colleagues."
