Aldershot Town Chairman Kris Machala has spoken to the clubs official website and explained that manager Dean Holdsworth did receive an offer from League One side Crawley Town but decided that his immediate future is at the EBB Stadium.
The site quoted his as saying: "You may be aware that our manager Dean Holdsworth's name has been connected to the managerial vacancy at a club in a higher division within the Football League. Dean is highly regarded within the game and could have taken the opportunity to move. He received an overwhelming offer that would have been beneficial to him both on a personal and professional basis.
"I am delighted that Dean has chosen to remain as manager of Aldershot Town Football Club and I have to place on record my sincere appreciation to an individual who has proved his loyalty and integrity."
