36-year old Scottish "B" International, Scott Murray has told The Press & Journal that he is spending the pre-season with Aldershot Town - but that he would also like to end his career back up in Scotland having played most of his career in England.

Murray told reporter Dave Edwards: “I feel I still have a couple of seasons left in me, I am as fit as ever and I will be training with Aldershot Town for the next fortnight but I'm ruling nothing out and would love to end my career back in Scotland.

“Steve Paterson was manager of the Dons when he tried to get me on-loan from Bristol City. I ended up signing for Reading but I'm now a free-agent so would be willing to go on trial with anyone to further my full-time professional career.

“I am hopefully coming up to Fraserburgh to play against Rangers in my old manager Charlie Duncan’s testimonial match at Bellslea on Saturday July 24 and I'm really looking forward to that.”
