Aldershot Town FC officials have asked the FA for financial compensation following AFC Wimbledon's exit from the FA Trophy.

The Dons have been kicked out of this seasons competition due to fielding Jermaine Darlington in the previous three rounds without obtaining an International Transfer Certificate, a requirement when a player moves under the regulation of the Welsh FA to the English FA.

With The Dons being removed from the competition, Gravesend & Northfleet have been re-instated with The Shots and Eastleigh both losing out.

On January 25 2007 an FA Trophy sub-committee decided, upon hearing evidence from AFC Wimbledon, that in addition to the club being removed from the competition for this season they must also repay £7000 of prize money from earlier rounds in which Jermaine Darlington played plus having to forfeit £5000 money from the last round versus Gravesend and Northfleet.
