Aldershot Town Football Club confirm that, alongside many similar tributes across Europe, there will be a minutes silence prior to tomorrow's Coca Cola League Two match versus Torquay United.

This is to pay respects to the tragic plane crash that took the life of Polish President Lech Kaczynski on Saturday. In total 96 people were killed in the accident including many leading Polish military, civic and cultural when their plane crashed near the Russian city of Smolensk.

Aldershot Town Football Club does have a Polish connection through Director Kris Machala who is from Poland and who has taken the initiative to ensure that the minutes silence is conducted.
