Bryan Hughes has told Sky Sports that he would like to sort out his Stanley future following his second goal in as many days as Accrington Stanley beat Morecambe 2-1 on Boxing Day and apparently, will be turning his back on both Rotherham United and Aldershot Town in the process.
In the article, the 35-year old midfielder told Sky Sports: “I just want to focus on playing and getting Accrington promoted. My agent is in talks with the club and we hope to have something sorted in the next few weeks.
"I need the security of a contract and I'm sure we can get it all sorted at Accrington soon."
With the “news” coming from Sky Sports, it’s probably nothing more than Hughes’ agent trying to put himself in the shop window to earn him a deal (we all know how often they reported on Marvin Morgan attracting interest from other clubs!), and looking at it objectively… do we really need ANOTHER midfielder?!
