Soares Make History

Shots winger Louie Soares made history last night when he became the first Aldershot Town player to gain a full International cap.

Soares represened Barbados in the Digicel Caribbean Cup and made his first appearance for his country in the 1-1 draw versus Trinidad and Tobago in Port of Spain.

The World Cup finalists took the lead in the first half through Gary Glasgow but Barbados secured a draw with a Neil Harvey goal on 66 minutes in front of almost 8000 spectators.

Barbados' next game in the competition is on January 15 v Haiti followed by an encounter with Martinique two days later.
