The Man From The League Says Yes!

Last updated : 04 August 2008 By Stray Shots Team

Doug Wilson, Chief Executive, issued a statement on Monday evening as follows:

Today we had a formal inspection of all of the preparations to re-enter the Football League and we passed with flying colours.

The league representatives who had visited the ground earlier in the year were very impressed with all of the works completed and remarked upon the successful transformation and that it is also pleasing that the club is also looking progressively forward when finances allow to other ground improvements.

On behalf of the Board I would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the staff and all the willing volunteers who unselfishly over the past 12 weeks have put in many hours both weekdays and weekends to transform the ground and implement all of the new facilities.

More information on the actual improvements made will be shared with supporters within match programmes and on the web.

May I also take this opportunity to advise supporters that with effect from 1st August Andy Nunn has joined the staff of 'the shots' as our groundsman.

Andy has been associated with the club for several years and therefore this represents a smooth transition. We all wish him well in this appointment. If anyone is willing to help from time to time around the ground ie forking the pitch after matches or indeed any other maintenance works I would be pleased to hear from you via email.

Doug Wilson
Chief Executive
