Waddock Happy With Performance Against United

Cambridge United caused more problems to Aldershot than any other team this season, revealed manager Gary Waddock.

"We came here top of the league and we came here to win" he stated afterwards.

"We knew exactly how Cambridge would play against us. They are exceptionally good at applying pressure, giving you no time in possession and getting the baal forwards as quickly as they can.

"They had us under the cosh for a lot of the first half, far more than anyother team we have played this season. Thanks to Nikki Bull we went in at half-time only one down and we knew then we had not only a chance for the draw but to win the game.

"I thought we showed real spirit in the second half and put Cambridge under some real pressure."
