Anthony Charles - Made a welcome return
Martin Gooday has reported on the clubs official website, www.theshots.co.uk that The Shots faced a a young Charlton side and that The Shots included a number of trialists, including former Milton Keynes and Kettering central defender Nathan Koo-Boothe, Plymouth Argyle forward Sam Malsom as well as youth team midfielder Josh Huggins.

Shots had the early pressure with a Kirk Hudson header from Scott Davies cross drawing a save from Charlton keeper Elliott, and a tricky Joel Grant run ending in a dangerous cross shanked into his side netting by Basey. On 8 minutes Aldershot took the lead. From a Davies corner Sam Malsom headed against the bar. The ball looked to have bounced over the line, but Malsom had no hesitation in following up to bundle the ball into the net.
