Reserve team football returns to the EBB Stadium on Tuesday afternoon as Conference promotion hopefuls Crawley Town send their second string to North Hampshire for the Reserves first fixture of 2011.
Having been without a match since December 15th, the fringe players at Aldershot Town will get their first opportunity to impress new boss Dean Holdsworth and assistant Matthew Bishop in a competitive match setting, against opposition who find themselves bottom of the reserve league.
Speaking to the clubs official website head of the match, Holdsworth said: ”We’ve got the chance to give some of the players a game and they’ll get their fitness work done which will be good for them.
”Their attitude has been spot on – you always need a squad and it’s always going to be about the squad of players. They were fantastic at Northampton and there is real competition for places.”
The Shots from: No team news currently available, although the following players are expected to feature having been on the bench at the weekend: Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz, Manny Panther, Aaron Morris, Clayton Fortune, John Halls, Tim Sills, Albert Jarrett. Reece Connolly and Adam Mekki are also likely to feature.
