Brentford Reserves vs Aldershot Town Reserves

Last updated : 21 September 2009 By Mike Wray
It may only be a shade over one month since The Shots faced the Bees at the EBB Stadium in the season's opening fixture, but Aldershot Town Reserves will be looking to complete their first double when they travel to Griffin Park to face Brentford this Tuesday afternoon, as they look to get back to winning ways after losing 2-1 against Brighton & Hove Albion last week.

Goals from promising youngster Carlton Cox and John Grant sealed a 2-0 Shots victory on the opening day, and even with injuries hitting Gary Waddock's squad in recent weeks, the ethos has remained the same and Gary Waddock has confirmed that yet again, the strongest team possible will be chosen for the match.

"We had a good win on Saturday but as usual, we'll have to sit down on Monday morning and work out who's available to us" he told the clubs official website.

"It's no secret that we're working with a small squad but there are some good youngsters coming through the ranks and these games are vital for their progression.

"They're also great for those players who are looking to get back into the first team and Brentford will be treating the match in much the same way as us."
