A deal has been done with SCUK, namely Sport Connections UK Ltd to be the new sponsor of the ATFC Reserve & Youth Team for 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons. Southern Tyres the previous sponsor have decided after some six years at the helm to stand down, which is excellent service rendered to the club and they will remain good supporters to the Shots in the future.

However, one door closes and another one opens - SCUK have agreed to a two year deal, with their exciting sports shop opening for business in Aldershot's Wellington Centre on July 21st. The shop, in Low Walk, is independent and is the company's first branch. The official opening was carried out by the Mayor of Rushmoor, Councillor David Welch, on Friday July 27th. In attendance was Gary Waddock the Shots Team Manager, who helped the Mayor cut the ribbon on the grand opening with Imran Malhi the CEO of SCUK.

SCUK are an innovative business and have spent a lot of time on research for all their sports lines to ensure the prices fit the pocket and will soon offer internet sales to compete in all areas. However, their enterprise involves Aldershot Town FC and Chairman of the Shots, John McGinty, with Chris Richardson, Commercial Manager ATFC, completed the agreement of a two year deal for SCUK to be the official sponsor of the Reserve & Youth Team. The package includes a number of benefits to SCUK with a remuneration to the Shots that helps to develop the young players of today for the future!

Very shortly SCUK will open a show case area in their grand store to promote and sell the Shots Replica Team Wear. There will be a further announcement and opening for all Shots fans to visit the store and view the new home and away kits that really brings the club into the community's day to day shopping and expanding the club's reach, which will also provide good awareness for SCUK and the overall official main club sponsor Ezylet.co.uk, whose branding is on all the first team home and away kits for the forthcoming season of 2007-08 and 2008-09.

The Chairman and Directors of Aldershot Town FC are very grateful to SCUK for their support and wish them every success with their opening for business in the town centre, providing a spring board for a major partnership that is very important to the living community of Aldershot who hopefully will support the businesses that support the Shots
