Joel Grant - Last season for The Shots
Official Shots website www.theshots.co.uk reported that Joel Grant, who has been training with Gary Waddock's squad after being released by the Hornets during the summer grabbed The Shots only goal in last nights Reserve team fixture against Watford.

Watford, who only joined the Combination this season having competed in the FA Premier Reserve League last season, fielded a strong squad including Steve Kabba, Will Hoskins and former Aldershot Town youth player Anthony MacNamee.

Kabba (2) and John Joe O'Toole (53) netted for Watford before Joel Grant's response on 58 minutes.

Aldershot Reserves next Combination match is at home to Brighton & Hove Albion at The Rec on Tuesday 11th September, kick-off 2pm.

Aldershot: Jamiez-Ruiz; Bailey, Milletti, Sesay, Winfield; Gier (Hardy 62), Grant, Donnelly Hudson (Chandler 62); Hylton (Ritson 62), Dixon. Subs not used: Finn, Higgins.
