For this local derby the young Shots team travelled to the picturesque and historical setting of Bisham Abbey on the banks of the Thames.
Wycombe had the kick off and from the start they made an aggressive move playing a long ball over the back four; this could have paid off but was too close to Jordan Clement who came quickly to claim the ball.
The 'Chairboys' kept the pressure up and were rewarded with a free kick 25 yards out after Doug Bergqvist was adjudged to be climbing to win a header. Wallace took the kick and aimed for goal, Jordan Clement could only stand and watch as the ball clipped the top side of the bar and over the target.
In the third minute the Shots were awarded a free kick 35 yards out. This was well taken by Josh Pearson, but deflected out for a corner. Pearson delivered his corner to the far post, Shots skipper Ben Hutchings rose above the defence to heading the ball strongly, but the bar this time saved Wycombe. The Shots had to recover fast as Wanderers broke quickly. Ben Hutchings, again setting the standards, was in a good position and showed good defensive qualities when the ball was passed to McClure, initially Hutchings stood off then as McClure took his first touch Hutchings stepped in to intercept the ball.
