17 year-old central midfielder Breimyr, a second year scholar who played a big role in the team’s progress to the third round of the FA Youth Cup this season, will compete for the award alongside Oxford United’s Aaron Woodley and Kadeem Harris of Wycombe Wanderers, at the gala ceremony in London on Sunday 20 March.

Breimyr, who joined Aldershot Town’s Centre of Excellence following a trial in 2009, said: “This is totally unexpected, and I'm delighted to be nominated alongside some other very talented players".

Youth Team Manager Tim Coe continued: “Henrik has made considerable improvement, which is indicative of his extraordinary attitude towards taking opportunities to improve, and deserves to be commended for his achievements. His performances have attracted the interest from numerous big clubs, both in this country and abroad.

“I am sure Henrik would be the first to acknowledge that his nomination is representative of a very good group of second year scholars. These players have broken new ground and set standards in terms of application, performance and professionalism. The club are proud to have been associated with Henrik's development and look forward to supporting him in future.”

The shortlists for all 17 awards were drawn up by a panel of judges on 27 and 28 January 2011. Judges included members of the media, sports industry figures and representatives of The Football League and its partners. The awards ceremony takes place at The Brewery in London on Sunday 20 March.
