The Shots went into the game minus Caz Shepherd for the second week running and after just fifteen minutes they lost influential Strike Tracey Marlow to a nasty Ankle injury, which could she her sided lined for two weeks.
The forced change saw Sian Houghton make her debut for The Shots.
The first half both teams battled away but didn't really create a clear chance. In the second half Riverside pressed, but where reduced to long-range efforts and where being well marshaled by Grover and Cole's in the Shots defence.
The game didn't really come to life until the second period of extra time, Ireland and North started to dominate the midfield and on one such occasion North won the ball and played down the right hand side of the penalty box.
The Riverside defender got to the ball before Moore, but some great hassling she managed to slip the ball pass her and from 18 yards hit her shot low and hard pass the Riverside keeper into the corner of the goal. After this Riverside where unable to breach a strong shots defence and the shots went through to the semi finals.
Liddicott said, "It wasn't a pretty game, We never got going in the first half, losing Tracey early on seem to unsettle us, but we reorganized at half time.
Going into extra time you could see the fitness was going to be a big Factor and that's why we managed to come out on top in the end.
Its disappointing when you have any player injured, we are hoping Tracey will be back within a couple of weeks."
