New Aldershot Town LFC manager Jamie Woodfield has strengthened his side this week after capturing the signatures of four new players ahead of the sides pre-season fixtures which get underway at the start of August.
Speaking to The Stray Shots, Woodfield said: "We'd like to welcome all four of the new players to the club and it's great that we have been able to get them in.
"Kellie [Williams] has represented the Army as well as the Combined Services and will add great quality and knowledge to the team and so will Kirsty [Strachen] who has also played for the Army Medical Corps, RAF Wittering and Elsen in Germany. She has now settled in the area and we're fortunate to get her signature.
"We've also managed to secure the signing of Kirsty Palfreyman who has come through the ranks at Fulham, Chelsea and Reading and for such a young player, she will be able to add real quality on the ball and she has great promise.
"Jenny [Maultby] has joined us from the 5-a-side circuit and she is a tough tackling defender who will strengthen us in an area that we were lacking in last season."
Former manager, Andy Liddicott who is now in overall charge of the Ladies set up, continued: "We're also able to welcome back Tracy Marlow, who has returned to the area as well, while Amber Marsh is completing her training up in Harrogate and is being posted to Arborfield Garrison for the next year so she is another who will be re-joining us.
"Cary's Potter is also available once again after missing all of last season with a leg injury and she will begin gentle training over the next three months to help regain her fitness and Di Smith has returned after having a year away from playing so it will be great to have some familiar faces back at the club."
The Ladies now have a squad of twenty players for the season, while the Youth manager John O'Brien has fourteen players on his sides books as he looks forwards to working closely with the promising youngsters in the North Hants Youth League.
The Shots Ladies pre-season fixture gets underway when they take on Basingstoke Town at Ash United's Shawfield Road on Sunday 1st August 2010, kick off 2pm.
