John is currently working at the University of Reading as a Sports Development Coordinator and will be in charge of the club's girls' side who will play in the North Hants Youth League during the 2010-11 season.
Speaking to The Stray Shots John said: "I'm really excited to have been appointed [to the position] and I'm looking forwards to working with the players to help them develop their playing skills.
"We will aim to build a competitive side and I'd be interested in hearing from any other quality players out there who think they have the ability to play for the club and would like to attend for a trial ahead of the new season.
"The set up at the club is good and I'm looking forwards to helping take the club forwards and developing quality players who will progress to the club's main Ladies' side in the future."
Shots Ladies manager Andy Liddicott said: "I'd like to welcome John to the club, there are certainly exciting times ahead for the women's game at the club and we're looking to push things on even further next season.
"The Under 16's side will certainly prove to be a key part of the club's future and will offer players the chance to gain the right kind of experience to make the step up to the Ladies' side in future seasons."
If you are interested in attending for a trial, please contact Andy Liddicott for more information.
