Shots Ladies 1 Riverside Strikers 4

Aldershot Town's Ladies side suffered their heaviest league defeat of the season, losing to the Southern Region Premier League leaders 4-1 on Sunday afternoon.

Despite levelling the game on 25 minutes through a Laura Wallman penalty, the Shots were unable to find the break they needed, and after going in 2-1 up at the interval, a second league defeat for the Southampton-based side was put to rest with two second-half goals.

As a mark of respect for Paul Muddell, who regularly attended home and away matches, players and officials from Aldershot Town wore black armbands and a minute's silence was observed prior to kick-off.
