The Shots took on the saints for the third time this season, and slipped up for the third time.
After drawing against them in the League Cup the Shots where hopeful of gaining some revenge. The first fourty-five minutes was mainly played in the Saints half, but the Shots final delivery was allways too strong and was easily dealt with by their keeper.
Grace Danaher almost got on the score sheet, however having taken a great free kick, the Saints keeper managed to tip the ball onto the inside of the bar and post only for the ball to bounce out.
In the second half the Shots where final undone. A dangerous ball wasn’t cleared and one of the Saints strikers fired pass Hubbard into the corner of the net.
Saints pressed again and where soon two up when the ball wasn’t cleared again and the Saints were able to tap the ball in.
At the other end the Shots put the Saints under pressure from number of corners, but couldn’t capitalize on any of them.
The Saints third came from a free kick just outside the box. Which the saint’s player curled into the corner of Hubbard net. As the game came to a end the saints extended there lead with a tap in after the Shots failed to clear.
Final score 4-0
Speaking after the match, boss Andy Liddicott said: "This was a real end of season game, in the first half both teams looked really flat, we had the better of the chances in the first half, but you’ve got to take your chances against a very good saints side.
"Second half we looked very heavy legged and tidy, the saints took their chances well and punished use for missing ours. We need to pick ourselves up for our last game next week."
