Aldershot Town U11's Reds got their season off to a fantastic start at Bourley Road on Sunday morning, kicking off their Hampshire Cup campaign in style.
The Shots took control of the match from the off and forced the game into one-way traffic - producing constant pressure on their visitors with three players grabbing hat-tricks, one player getting a brace and two others netting one each.
In the end, The Shots superior skills showed on the day and although credit went to the Yateley side who gave it their all, it was The Shots who eased into the draw for Round Two with goals from Daniel (3), Ben (3), George (3), Tom (2), George (1) and Danny (1).
Speaking to the Stray Shots after the match, Shots keeper Nathan said: "I only got to touch the ball three times and one of them was to hand it to the referee at half-time."
The Shots face two home fixtures next weekend when they take on Cambridge United's Centre of Excellence side on Saturday 19th September 2009, kick off 11am.
They then open their League account the following day, when AFC Wimbledon Colts make the trip to Bourley Road, kick off 10am.
