The 50 miles ride around London is in aid of The Vine Day Centre in Aldershot who are are a centre for the homeless, they provide a daily warm meal and clothing for those living rough and help individuals get the specialist medical help they need to survive.
It is managed by one full time member of staff and 12 volunteers who cook, clean, run workshops, fundraise and support homeless adults in gaining employment and finding somewhere to live. They see on average 90 homeless adults a week.
Tracy needs to raise as much money as she can for the Vine and she would love you to sponsor her - or join the group on the ride instead, as the centre has been hit by the funding cuts and this is one of the ways that the local community can pull together and help provide much needed funds.
If you are able to donate to Tracy (as little as you like it really doesn't matter how much) she would be personally most grateful, but for homeless adults the Vine is literally for life rather than death so all donations will make a big difference to those in need of their support.
Those who sponsor Tracy will be sent pictures and a case study of where their money has been spent so that all sponsors can see for themselves the good that has come from the ride and the sponsorship will also help Tracy reach the end of the ride!
Speaking to the The Shots Trust ahead of the ride, Tracy said: ”I’d like to thank everyone who chooses to sponsor me as well as those who have lent me their support so far. Every penny counts and will really help the vital work that the Vine is providing.”
