"But the latest meeting of the Shots and a team in red will be one that Coleman wants to forget after his side lost by the odd goal to the League Two newcomers.
"The visitors came to the Fraser Eagle Stadium to start their first Football League season for 16 years and went away with the perfect start after a 1-0 victory.
"And not for the first time in his career, Coleman was left wondering what might have been."

Charlie Oliver from The Aldershot News also reported for The Times, saying that Scott Donnelly ensures a succesful return, saying "Scott Donnelly is making a habit of scoring important goals for Aldershot.
"Four months after his goal away to Exeter City clinched promotion, he ensured that Aldershot's return to the Football League, 16 years after the demise of Aldershot FC, started perfectly.
"There was little of the pretty play that propelled Gary Waddock's team to the Blue Square Premier title last season, but Donnelly's stunning first-half free kick was enough to settle a scrappy contest. He won the free kick and then curled a right-foot shot in off the bar."

Charlie also reports for the Aldershot News, saying "A trip to rain-lashed Lancashire was hardly the most glamorous of welcomes back into the Football League.
"But no one from Aldershot was complaining after Scott Donnelly's fabulous free-kick against Accrington Stanley ensured that the long journey for the long-awaited return was worthwhile.
"By the end the Shots' fans were singing in the rain. Singing: "Aldershot are back, Aldershot are back!"

Richard Holdsworth from the Daily Telegraph has reported that "There could hardly have been a more pertinent fixture for Aldershot Town to begin life back in the Football League. Accrington Stanley, their hosts on Saturday, spent 38 years clawing their way back into the game's elite, and though Aldershot's return took just 16 years, it has been no less difficult.
"On the evidence of this match, they should have little difficulty in cementing their League status. There was much of the well organised attacking style that brought Gary Waddock's team the Conference title last May and Scott Donnelly's sublime free-kick two minutes before half-time was just reward for Aldershot's dominance."
