Star reporter Les Payne has said that Millers boss Mark Robins has welcomed the return to form of his Rotherham United skipper Pablo Mills.
After starting the season well in his midfield role, Mills' form had dipped recently and Robins may well have been pondering leaving him out.
However, the former defender came back to form with a man-of-the-match performance in the win over Leicester City in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Tuesday, something Robins noted.
"Pablo was back to something like his best," said Robins. "He'd been picking up a bit of criticism but you don't like leaving out players like that, they have got to play through it and have got to be allowed to.
"We had a chat and he's gone out and shown exactly what a good player he can be and what a good captain too. Now I expect the same again from this weekend."
Rotherham began preparation today for Saturday's FA Cup first round tie at Aldershot who have lost only once at home in the past 15 months.
Robins may consider the odd change bearing in mind there is the Carling Cup tie at Stoke City next Tuesday.
Richie Barker, ineligible for the JPT and the Carling Cup, is available for Saturday.
