The 23-year-old attacker joined Rushden in January and scored in two of his first three games to help secure victories over Cambridge United and Oxford United.
However, he failed to find the back of the net in his subsequent ten outings for the Nene Park outfit.
The 6ft striker has also played for Doncaster and Kidderminster and has managed nine goals in 88 games during his five-year career although more than half of his appearances have been as a substitute.
"Chris is another great addition to our growing squad of players," communications and community director Sophie McGill told the club's official website.
He has substantial playing experience, but is still young and a good prospect at only twenty three years of age.
"The fact that we have signed two strikers in two days shows that we are an ambitious club and keen to challenge for promotion this coming season.
"Billy McEwan is still in talks with a number of other quality players and we are hopeful that further announcements will be made over the coming days."
