Conference News: Cambridge United Vs Burton Albion

Last updated : 06 May 2008 By Stray Shots Team
Cambridge United's Lee McEvilly has been rewarded for his match-saving double in the first leg with a place in the Cambridge United side for tonight's Blue Square Premier play-off semi-final return leg at home to Burton Albion, kick off 7.45pm.

McEvilly scored twice late on to salvage a 2-2 draw for the U's after coming on as a substitute in Friday's opening leg at the Pirelli Stadium and is now set to partner fellow on-loan striker Magno Vieira.

U's manager Jimmy Quinn told local press, "Lee deserves a start after the other night and if he runs out of steam we've got people who can come on for him.

"It's all about the squad right - because it might go to extra time and penalties and we need to be prepared for that."

The winners of the tie will face Exeter City in the final at Wembley on May 18 after the Grecians won 4-1 at Torquay yesterday to seal a 5-3 aggregate victory against the promotion favourites.
