"We're fourth in the table, so if the fans don't come this year they will never come," Opinel told BBC Radio Kent.
"We have the chance to have League football next season, which would be great for the club, but we would like everyone to get involved."
Gravesend play host to Weymouth at Stonebridge Road on Tuesday evening with all at the club hoping for an improvement on recent attendances.
