Dave Fletcher from the Halifax Courier has reported that there is already a suggestion that The Shaymens Trophy tie could have to wait until Tuesday, January 8 - four days before the date set aside for the second round of the competition to go ahead.
With no immediate let up in the current cold snap in sight it is doubtful whether the Shay pitch - frozen at the weekend - will be playable tomorrow evening.
And as the FA Trophy does not take precedence over Blue Square Premier fixtures the next available date is in the New Year.
Forecasters are predicting a slightly warmer night tonight - just minus one degree according to the worst.
But last night was another cold one in Calderdale and will have hardly helped preparations.
Saturday's game was postponed at 9.45am - early enough to prevent all but one of the eight coaches organised by Leamington from leaving the Midlands.
As ever, the worst area of the pitch was immediately in front of the South Stand.
But with freezing fog also shrouding the ground there was never any realistic chance of the tie going ahead as planned.
Leamington appear to be pessimistic about the chances of tomorrow's game being given the go-ahead and are already making contingency plans.
They were due to hold talks today with Southern League officials and Bromsgrove Rovers about staging an Errea Cup third round tie tomorrow evening.
