Blue Square Premier club Ebbsfleet United are on the verge of unveiling striker Raphael Nade with the player expected to sign on next week.

The French frontman spent last season with league rivals Weymouth and made 39 first-team appearances, scoring six goals in the process.

"He is out of the country on family business at the moment, but we've agreed everything and have sent off his registration," manager Liam Daish told News Shopper.

"The only thing we don't have yet is his signature on the contract, but I don't foresee any problems and I expect him to sign on Monday when he returns."

Daish has confirmed that he is also on the lookout for another striker following the departures of Charlie MacDonald and Onome Sodje.

He added: "I'm after someone who can play up front and out wide as well. I know who I've got in mind but I don't want to say any more at the moment."
