Exeter 0-1 Oxford Utd

The game was tightly-contested, producing just one goal from a sustained period of pressure by Oxford at the end of the first-half.

Oxford's Matt Day saw his header hit the bar from an Andrew Burgess corner kick and Chris Hargreaves pounced on the rebound with a header of his own.
Exeter keeper Martin Rice did well to parry Hargreaves' header but the blocked shot landed at the feet of Daniel Rose, who's volleyed effort was deflected into the back of the net by City midfielder Andrew Taylor.

Despite the somewhat fortunate nature of their goal, Oxford where good value for their win, creating twice as many shots on goal as their opponents.

In fact, Oxford had a golden opportunity to double their tally just before the final whistle but Chris Zebroski's close range effort at the left-hand side of the six-yard box missed the target.

York 0-0 Morecambe

Billy McEwan's York City will be disappointed that they couldn't make their home advantage count as they were held to draw by Morecambe at KitKat Crescent on Friday evening.

The home side had more than their fare share of the possession and created 16 attempts at goal, while Morecambe produced just four shots at goal the entire game.

Morecambe did well to keep York at bay in the final moments of the game with Steven Drench and Steve Bowey both being denied by Steven Drench in goal.

York bookings: James 27

Morecambe bookings: Yates 37, Adams 45, Bentley 58
