Neil Redfearn has resigned from his post as manager of Blue Square Premier side Northwich Victoria following a shocking start to the season.
Things just didn't seem to work out for the former Barnsley midfielder and he decided to quit following talks with chairman Mike Connett on Saturday.
Redfearn was appointed in the summer, taking over from departed manager Steve Burr and saw his remoulded side slump to their fourth home defeat at the hands of newcomers Histon at the weekend.
Veteran defender Paul Warhurst signed for the Vics on non-contract terms last week and has been installed as caretaker-manager for Tuesday's match at Halifax Town.
Northwich are curreently rock-bottom on the league table after collecting just one point from their first nine fixtures
