Peter Davenport will continue as their boss with the brief to assemble a side that is capable of bouncing back to the Nationwide Conference in a seasons time.
Port chairman Charlie Clapham told BBC: "The club will operate on an affordable budget which the manager is fully supportive of."

Southport finished second-bottom of the Nationwide Conference, a mere five points from safety.
