The 23-year-old moved from the Blue Square Premier side to the Fraser Eagle Stadium on a 12-month contract in July, having signed for Vics in January.
Connett has described the fee for the former Crewe centre-half, who has also enjoyed loan spells at Chester, Southport and Halifax, as "derisory".
