The former Hartlepool trainee has been ever present in the Minstermen starting line-up but will now have to watch from the sidelines as the rest of his team eye a promotion spot.
Craddock played in York's dominant win over Cambridge United this weekend and had to be substituted after suffering from a fractured jaw.
"I feel very sad for Darren. He has made a great contribution to the team and he will be a big loss," manager Billy McEwan told the club's official website.
