55-year old Taylor was presented to the media last Thursday afternoon at Adams Park and the appointment has seen a return of a buzz around the club following the disappointment of play-off defeat and the departure of Paul Lambert over recent weeks.

Bloomfield continued, "Bringing in a manager of his stature can only help the lads who are possibly a little unsettled.

"The aim is promotion again, we missedout over the past couple of seasons but we have to look ahead to next year and go for promotion.

"I don't see any reason why we can't do that - we are more than capable.

"There are good times ahead at the club."
