Last weekends consecutive defeats against relegation strugglers finally laid to rest any outside chances that The Shots had of reaching this seasons play off finals and the Millers will be expecting the same come Saturday evening, while not mathematically out of the play off race, a point for Stevenage (at Northampton) and Gillingham (home to Macclesfield) will end their faint chances.
The Shots enter the match in 14th place in League Two with 57 points from 44 games, while Rotherham United are 9th with 62 points from the same amount of games.
Shots Team News
Dean Holdsworth has been pleased with the progress made during his time in charge and told us: ”We can take a lot from the last three months and it whets our appetite for next season to look forwards to coming back.
”We’ll do some more hard work between now and then and it gives me the confidence to say that we’ll be a decent side next year and we’ll get together and work really hard in the pre-season, but I want all the players to continue working hard, right up to the final whistle of our last game as they owe it to us [the management], the supporters and to themselves.”
The Shots could be a little light on numbers, as Holdsworth waits on the fitness of John Halls [sickness], Damian Spencer who is still not 100% after his recent injury, Alex Rodman [hamstring strain], Reece Connolly [hamstring strain] and Adam Mekki is recovering from a hefty kick he received against Brentford Reserves during the week.

The Opposition
Millers manager Andy Scott will be placing his players under close scrutiny as they take to the field against The Shots, and after a run of just one win in twelve has seen his side drop away from the play off race, it will be all eyes on those fighting for a new contract for next season.
Speaking to the local media he said: “ I'm looking for commitment, enthusiasm and an improvement in the remaining two games.
"I've seen good signs in the three matches so far but also things we need to work on.
"I don't want the season to fade away. I want the last two matches to be an indication of just how much people want to be here. Everyone is under scrutiny, simple as that.
"I like winning football matches and we have to get that winning mentality back."
Scott will make late decisions on the fitness of Nicky Law [ankle], Ryan Taylor [back] and Andy Warrington [foot] ahead of the match as all three have picked up knocks in recent weeks while both Ian Thomas-Moore [thigh] and Johnny Mullins [dislocated knee-cap] are both out for the remainder of the season.
The Millers from: Andy Warrington, Jamie Annererson, Dale Tonge, Tom Newey, Danny Harrison, Ryan Cresswell, Nick Fenton, Nicky Law, Jason Taylor, Tom Pope, Adam Le Fondre, Stephen Brogan, Jamie Green, Luke Ashworth, Paul Warne, Mark Bradley, Ryan Taylor, Marcus Marshall, Callum Kennedy, Danny Coid, Mark Randall, Liam Henderson, Oliver Banks, Danny Hancock and Jack Leyden.
