Looking back to November, when Lincoln were deep in the relegation mire, rumours were abound in the media that both Celtic and Nottingham Forrest were after the 26-year old and with the players contract up in the summer, there were fears that the former Sierra Leone International would be able to walk away from the club on a free.
Around the same time, City website www.theforgottenimp.co.uk described Jarrett as: “One of City’s best players so far this season” and even suggested that it was imperative the club offered him a new deal.
Since then however, the player has fallen down the pecking order at Sincil Bank but speaking on the Lincoln City Mad messageboard, City supporters had this to say on the player:
“He was the star of the show early season, but only appears to stay at a club for a season or so.” – Mobster
“He is a very good winger, but I dont believe he work to track back when needed. Yes he can win games for you but you must have a very hard working full back behind him. he has good pace and a good left foot. I thought he was very good when I first saw him, but very deceptive work rate.” – frandy13
Given we’ve been rather short of hard working left backs this season, it should make for an interesting time!
Contributors to theimps.ka messageboard were a little less complimentary on the player, saying:
At the start of the season I thought he could easily be one of our best players, but you can now see why he's played for 10. (including loans) soon to be 11 teams, and he's only 26." - Jam Imp
"I think we've seen why he doesn't stay at any club so long. He started quite well but as soon as Sutton left, his form went seriously downhill and he rarely looked motivated on the pitch.
If he's still here beyond the summer then I'd be very surprised." - Nathan Jackson
Shots supporters are expected to get their first opportunity to see Jarrett in action later on today when The Shots travel to Sixfields to take on Northampton Town.
