With Saturdays sweltering weather firmly in the past, playing conditions are expected to be far more favourable as Gary Waddock prepairs his side for another challenging ninety-minutes and will be keen for his side to inflict a similar fate to the one the North London side faced this time last week when a second-string Spurs side were on the wrong end of a 6-1 hammering against Steve Evans' men at the Broadfield Stadium.
While the score-line will have flattered the Sussex side, it is important to remember that twenty of Spurs' First Team players were away in Spain and the bulk of the club's academy side were training in Switzerland - leaving Clive Allen with a significantly weakened reserve side.
Although Anthony Gardner and Ricardo Rocha did not feature, Spurs did have two players, the captain Dorian Dervite and Andy Barcham, with first team experience, while Charlie Daniels had recently returned from a short trial with Millwall.
That shocking result was met with a good response and Allen's side managed a creditable 1-1 draw against Millwall at the weekend behind closed-doors and they will be looking for a similar performance against The Shots.
Speaking after the Millwall draw Allen said, "I needed a reaction after the nature of the defeat at Crawley "Millwall wanted it to be a 'proper' game, it was exactly that and I thought the way we went about things was very encouraging.
"We had a few senior players with us, their attitude was great and that always influences the younger lads in a positive way.
"Overall, it was a good exercise for us."
Waddock meanwhile will be hoping that John Grant will be back available for the match while Junior Mendes' thigh strain is regarded as only a "minor problem".
Rob Elvins will be missing with bone bruising and he joins Rhys Day and Dave Winfield on the treatment table.
Trialist right back Jomo Faal-Thomas, who came on for Ben Starosta against Leyton Orient, is also expected to be included again in The Shots squad.
Speaking to the offical Spurs website ahead of the match, Allen had nothing but praise for The Shots boss saying, "Gary was a fantastic player, a really good lad and I've kept in touch with him over the years.
"He's done an unbelievably good job at Aldershot, deserved to take them back into the League and I think they will do well next season.
"Few people gave them a chance last season in the Conference but they were runaway winners.
"I saw them a few times, the football they played was excellent and this is an ideal game for us. They are a good footballing side, attack minded, play out from the back, the wide players are quick and deliver crosses and they are well organised. This will be a good test."
Kick off at the EBB Stadium is at 7.45pm.
