Speaking abou the thrashing at Saltergate he said, "I was absolutely gutted at Chesterfield. We have got ourselves into a situation that every single one of us has to pull their finger out to get back on track.
"Away from home our performances have been poor and we have to get results quickly if we are to get something out of this season. You cannot pinpoint it individually. As a unit we are conceding too many goals and we need to sort it out sharply.
"Rochdale are on a good roll and we need to put in a performance that warrants a good result and build some confidence in the squad. The adaptation from the Conference to Football League has been hard and it takes time.
"People say there is no difference between League Two and the Conference but there is a big gap. It is a step up with a level that has an abundance of good teams and good players. What we need to do is learn from the experiences and the results of recent weeks.
"We learnt things against Chesterfield and we must ensure that we address them in training and show our worth. The fans were tremendous against Chestefield and have been fantastic throughout the campaign. We appreciate their support and we need to reward them with better performances on the road."
