Aldershot News reporter Jon Couch has said that Shots assistant manager Matt Bishop is hoping that the clubs falling supporter base can help the players push away from the bottom of League Two this season.
The club, without a win in their last five games take on Rotherham United this Saturday afternoon and following being booed off after their last loss at the EBB Stadium against Chesterfield, the coach is hoping that fans will get back behind the team and play a part in ending the current slump.
“It is important to get the support and encouragement,” he told Couch this week. “We want the fans to be positive and support the players.
"They have a big part to play and when we are rocking there are no better fans. They are the 12th man.
"We want to get the players going and believing and drive them on to get a result.
“It will click. We are getting there and everybody is desperate to get a result because we are all hurting.”
