After a long period of uncertainty Shotsweb have revealed that Brett Johnson has turned down the clubs contract offer and opted for the deal offered by Northampton Town.  Johnson made 43 appearences in a Shots shirt after being spotted playing at Ashford Town (Mx) - scoring 2 goals.

The club will be discussing compensation with the Cobblers and has assured supporters that if their valuation of the youngster is not met, they will go to a tribunal.

The website have also reported that although the news will come as a big disappointment to supporters, Terry Brown is currently looking at another Johnson-style player who he has spotted and is looking to sign.

Although many supporters had wished that Johnson would stick around for another season, he is a great talent who will do very well in the League and we wish him the best in his career.
