The boss said, "I'm hoping someone will be signing this week and it'll be a massive boost if they can play over the Christmas period.
"We have also made enquiries about Jonny Dixon, as we are aware that Grays have had an offer accepted."
However, as expected the boss also conformed that some of his current squad members may have to leave the club to help balance the books if any firm offer is to be made to Wycombe for the player - one of which may well be midfielder David Lee who is coming to the end of his current contract and who also hasn't returned to the same kind of form he displayed prior to his broken leg.
