Speaking to the paper he said, “We only have four games in February but then eight in March, how do they work that out?" he said. "It's not rocket science — surely the fixtures can be split evenly?
“Gravesend will be a test for us first up and Weymouth away after that couldn't be much harder. It will probably be in front of about 6,000 fans and it'll be a very tough fixture.”
Brown admitted that Saturday's home match against QPR was a week earlier that he would have liked but conceded that, like any club, he is dictated by finances.
“I am trying to get through pre-season without any major injuries and I'll be taking the games very gingerly,” he said.
“The first team are only likely to get 45 minutes each on Saturday and while I want the players to get some match time and a feel for the team, I don't want to pick up any injuries. However, we're all looking forward to a good game against QPR.
