Brown To Cast Eye Over Fringe Players

Terry Brown will take a squad of trialists and fringe players on the short trip to Ash tonight as the club face their second pre-season friendly of the new season.

Saturdays 1-1 draw against a strong QPR side saw most of the squad get their first taste of action along with a mixture of reserves and trialists however Brown has told the official website, www.theshots.co.uk that he intends to use just reserves and trialists for tonights game.

Speaking to the official site after the QPR match Brown said, "Many of those that played in the second half will be playing again at Ash.

"To be honest when I was watching after the interval against QPR I said to Martin Kuhl that I would like to keep all the players on but unfortunately no club can have everybody that they want.

"At the moment I don't need to look at the players that I have signed because they are working really hard with Martin at the moment in training and I know what they can do. It is about looking at the players that are on the fringe and the key is to find out whether they are the kind of players that I want to keep".
