Cards Earn If Shot Moves On

Surrey Herald reporter Paul Warburton has revealed that Shots striker Marvin Morgan who signed in May 2008 from Woking for an "undisclosed fee", actually cost the club £30000.

Following the recent news from Skysports.com - stating that several higher league clubs are tracking the big striker, the local Woking media are rating the forward as the next £100000+ sale by The Shots and are reporting that the Cards would be set to gain 15% of any future sale - netting the Surrey based club a nice little windfall.

With the Surrey based media firmly in the belief that a host of wealthier League clubs are getting ready to make bids for the player before next Tuesday's transfer deadline, they are also stating that Aldershot's tenuous finances will force them to sell if a six-figure lands on their desk.

Woking secretary Phil Ledger however has also revealed the sell-on fee would also be minus £30k.

He told the media: "If Aldershot sell him for, say, £100,000, then we get a percentage of £70k - that's the way the contract was drawn up."

All very exciting media hype - however Shots boss Gary Waddock has stated this week that no offers have been made for Morgan so far - but added that it would take a large offer to ensure he would be leaving the EBB Stadium.  Watch this space!
